Let’s (keep) chatting! Spanish Flipgrid for 2018-2019 school year

Spanish Levels 1-3 Flipgrid 2018-2019

Last year, it was great to have so many students in so many schools across the country participating in a variety of Flipgrids!  I would get so excited any time I got a new notification.  In case you didn’t know, Flipgrid is now free with ALL features for everyone.  This year, I am starting up the next round of Flipgrids.  This year, I am teaching levels 1 and 3, so I made a level 1 universal Flipgrid and a level 2/3 universal Flipgrid.  Feel free to participate in either grid that works for your class!  Also, I really encourage my students to not only participate but also to respond to other’s videos.  That will really start to help students work on their interpersonal skills!

If you want to join, I have started a presentation grid for both level 1 and level 2/3.  I plan on leaving this up for all of September and making a new topic each month.

Also, in case you haven’t checked out Flipgrid since school started, there are some fun new updates!

  • Students can change the direction of their phone and the video changes easily!
  • Also, anyone filming can trim their video (only from the beginning and end).
  • Students can also decide to add more to the end of the video as they are recording (instead of having to record it all over again!)
  • You can add up to 5 resources to each topic.

I can’t wait for our classes to connect!

  1. Love FlipGrid! How do you handle the ‘must be age 16 or above’ that comes up when a student wants to respond? I don’t remember having this when I did mine last year.

  2. Like the idea! Are you moderating the comments as they come in Maria or will they appear right away after students record?

  3. Maris this is a great idea, except I don’t see any videos posted yet to the Flipgrid 2/3. Are your students going to start it off? I would love to have my students respond, we just recorded our own videos on Flipgrid with very similar questions, so I don’t want them to do it twice unless they have something to respond to. I love the idea and thank you for sharing!
