School supplies reading

Loose Leaf Paper by nexxuz - Simple piece of loose leaf paper

I wrote the following short story about school supplies.  It also contains a conversation with a store clerk.  My students seemed to enjoy it!  It also has an activity at the end for them to complete.

Draw a timeline of these events.  You must include a picture of every school supply that Alberto needs.  Include a sketch of each event.  You must include 7 events total.  Write about the event in Spanish.

  1. I was looking for a story with school supplies and ended up making my own. Any chance I can get the English? ? I teach German and know almost no Spanish!!!

    1. Thanks for reading! I will include the translation below:
Albert has to buy school supplies. He has many classes. He has English, Spanish, Math, Science, Art and History class. He has to buy 130 pencils. He also has to buy 39 pens. He needs 10 notebooks and a computer. He needs 104934 pieces of paper. He has to buy 504 markers and 5 erasers. He needs 600 books. He also needs a big book bag for all of his school supplies.

He goes to the stationary store. The stationary store is called Office Max. In the stationary store, there aren’t any employees. He has (all of the school supplies- I list again). He goes to the cash register. He looks for an employee. There aren’t any employees. He cannot pay! He is very frustrated.

He goes to another stationary store. He goes to staples. He has to look for all of his school supplies again. He has (list of all school supplies again). There are a lot of employees! He goes to the cash register. The employee speaks:
      -What would you like?
-I would like to buy (list of school supplies). How much does it cost?
-There is a sale! You have to pay $20.

Albert pays the money. He is very happy. He has all of his school supplies.
