While we were studying house vocabulary, I wrote up a reading for the students. They had to answer the questions about the writing, and they had to draw a floor plan of the house as well. I find that reading is such an excellent way to expose the students to the vocabulary again. Many students enjoyed the drawing aspect as well. With reading activities, I ask questions in Spanish and English. While I typically ask questions in Spanish, I feel that many students just write a sentence without understanding the meaning. From time to time, I ask students questions in English as well to check for comprehension. I have attached the reading activity here.
